Great day in Chattanooga radio...Nick the buffoon finally calls it quits...ratings that could not even make a dent in the boys over at WGOW...a long string of burned bridges and on air personal attacks on those that gave him his first break in town...now we get to see what Brewer has in store for ESPN...will they replace or will they just stay on the national death star?

holy damn! a new post? wow.
I hope they stick w/ a local show. they are using the weekend WRCB sports guy (name escapes me) the last couple days. He's green on the radio to be sure but sounds like there is some potential.
Chadd Scott was in for a couple days last week as what sounded like a "try out" if you will. Scott has a nice resume. He was Colin Cowherd's 1st producer and did good work w/ WCNN 680 The Fan for a couple years.
This is a tough gig in a tough market. Sports radio is tricky here. There's no need to do an ESPN Radio style radio show locally but their also isn't much demand for local sports talk. GOW has that cornered.
If the mocs can continue some sort of success and they can get a local guy that "gets it" the can have success w/ ESPN 105.1.
Just not sure who in the world can pull it off.

Bryan, not only is that patently inaccurate, it is also dangerous. Word around the old radio tower water cooler society is that Tricky Nick is giving up the ghost in Vegas and is currently in high-level talks with Brewer. Tadd Dameron of the very controversial late-night talk show on 105.7 reported seeing Nick's green Dodge Ram parked in the Brewer parking lot as recently as May of 2014 indicating that talks are either more secretive or have stalled due to unspecified reasons.
And Louis and Denise, the apparent Power Couple of Chattanoogan radio, are demanding to be released from their very unfavorable contracts that were drawn up and quartered by none other than high-powered exec and Indiana strongman Dave "The Rave" Strycker. Of course, you probably already knew that seeing as how you had a cousin (or was it older brother?), the one that subscribes to Soldier of Fortune magazine, that was banging one of the Brewer Babes™.
